The promoters of the 10 events which comprise Smirnoff Dream Weekend share a moment with the hostesses at the official launch of the event at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Tuesday.

IT’s another 10 parties over six days from the promoters of this year’s staging of Smirnoff Dream Weekend.

Partygoers are again set to invade the tourist haven of Negril on Jamaica’s north-west coast for the annual staging of the event from August 1-6.

In addition to the slew of renowned parties, the organisers have thrown in reggae dance classes to prep patrons for the latest dance moves ahead of the events.

Smirnoff Dream Weekend sees the return of the popular events Beach Rave, Twisted Spiritz, Daydreams, Yush, Xtreme Wet & Wild, Beer Vibes, Smirnoff XClusive, Miami Dream J’ouvert, Dream Live and Igloo.

Jermaine Bibbons, spirits brand manager at the sponsors Red Stripe, reiterated his company’s commitment to supporting an event that provides memorable experiences.

“It’s all about the varied experiences. Each of our events is different. Electronic dance music is really taking off and we will be bringing in selectors from Las Vegas. There will be hip-hop selectors from New York, soca selectors from Barbados and Trinidad, and the best reggae and dancehall selectors from here at home. So Smirnoff Dream Weekend is all about that multi-faceted, wide-ranging experience… we are just appealing to what our consumers are looking for.”

Bibbons noted that along with the organisers, his company is committed to implementing strict measures to promote responsible drinking.

He noted that patrons must be over 18 years old and must present valid ID in order to purchase tickets to the events.
