Thousands flock Dream weekend

SMIRNOFF Dream weekend kicked off at Negril’s Cayenne Beach with the Dream Live concert on Monday’s Emancipation Day. The event, which also celebrated sound system Coppershot’s 18th anniversary, attracted thousands of patrons. Marsha Lumley, Smirnoff’s brand manager, was ecstatic at the massive turnout.

“We know Smirnoff Dream weekend is the premier party weekend, but we never expected to see so many thousands of consumers. We are happy and ecstatic. Smirnoff is thankful for their continued support,” Lumley said. Surprise act, reggae international artiste Sean Paul delivered a well-received performance. Other performances came from Aidonia, Khago, Popcaan and Tommy Lee. Beenie Man brought the curtains down on the Smirnoff Dream Live concert at about 3:30 am.

All is now set for Smirnoff Exclusive red-and-white beach party which takes place at Negril’s Boardwalk Village on Independence Day, Monday, August 6.

In marking this major milestone, promoters planning something special. “Our surprise highlight is worth the wait,” said promoter Garth Walker. “We are making the event even more special and memorable than in years gone by. We are pulling out all the stops to ensure all patrons have a good time. This surprise is going to give everyone something to talk about when leaving the event,” he said. “We have to do things differently for Smirnoff Exclusive. Everyone at this party is a VIP, so we are going to treat each one like royalty. We encourage everyone to take the opportunity to walk the runway or red carpet with us at the event.”

Tickets for the event are still available $4,500 gate and $6,000 at the gate inclusive of top shelf liquor and a wide assortment of food.
