Diamond Club and new events for Dream Weekend’s 15th anniversary

Diamond Club and new events for Dream Weekend’s 15th anniversary

In a move to spice things up for its 15th anniversary which will be commemorated next year, the organisers of Dream Weekend have decided to introduce a Diamond Club as well as two new events.

Though tight-lipped about disclosing the names of the two new events, Dream Weekend’s Festival Director Ron Burke shared details about the Diamond Club in a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer.

“Two new events will be added to Dream Weekend’s 15th anniversary to spice things up along with the introduction of a Diamond Club. Execution will also be elevated to accentuate the milestone achievement,” said Burke.

The Diamond Club experience, which is a limited availability membership club, will offer premium services. Among its entitlements are Diamond Club members having their own bars, backstage access, waiter service, goodie bags, and discounts on Dream Entertainment events among other perks.

Additionally, through its concierge services, there are hotel packages that Dreamers can take advantage of and secure their accommodation with ease.

Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta is the first artiste confirmed to perform at Dream Weekend. This will be his first time performing at the event since 2018.

Dream Weekend will be held from August 2-6, 2024 in Negril.

Burke explained how the popular series has evolved over its 15 years.

“It has evolved into the largest and most sought-after international festival in Jamaica with the largest number of international visitors to our shores for any event. It has also placed Jamaica on the map as an event tourism destination with patrons buying tickets a year in advance,” said Burke.

Dream Weekend attracts a large demographic of partygoers each year, solidifying its place as the go-to event for the summer.

Burke highlighted what has contributed to the event’s success.

“Negril has a captivating scenery. We have the best and biggest artistes. It’s the most affordable all-inclusive event globally with drinks and food for only US$300 to start. The advent of social media and our extensive network of ambassadors and international promotion has also taken us to new heights,” said Burke.

Burke also commented on Tommy Lee Sparta’s inclusion on the Dream Weekend line-up.

“We are elated to have Tommy on board for our 15th anniversary celebration. He is and always has been a really great performer, and so we expect nothing less than a show-stopping performance from him come August. We know that Tommy is one of Jamaica’s baddest artistes, so we had to ensure we booked him as early as possible, to secure his performance,” said Burke.
