Appleton rules Dream Weekend

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Appleton is now the title sponsor of the annual week-long getaway Dream Weekend.

The announcement was made at a media launch held at J Wray and Nephew’s head office on Dominica Drive a short while ago.

“Negril has always been our playground. Our consumers have been asking us and we’ve answered the call. Dream Weekend is a powerful brand, so now we have the biggest party, and the best rum,” said Gary Dixon, marketing director at J Wray & Nephew.

Scott Dunn, managing director of Dream Entertainment, said Brand Jamaica stood to benefit from the partnership.

“There are lots of winners tonight… Appleton, patrons and Brand Jamaica,” said Dunn.

“We bring in more tourists to the island that any other festival and we’re inviting everyone down. Rum rules in paradise.”
